Elaine Ross is serving her first year on the YLD Board. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a BS in Child Development before receiving her Master's degree in Social work from the University of Maryland. Upon moving to Chicago, Elaine worked for Yelp and another technology startup company doing Sales. She is currently working at Cara Chicago as a Corporate Account Manager, helping adults affected by poverty gain meaningful employment with the ultimate goal of achieving real and lasting success. Elaine is a proud member of the YLD pride committee. She has been an LGBTQ Leads participant and leader and participated in Gesher. She serves on the Love Team at Mishkan, where she likes to spend Shabbat. Elaine is looking forward to continuing her involvement within the Jewish community and YLD.
