Applicants who attend school outside of Chicago should interview in Chicago during Winter (or Spring) Break. Applicants at University of Illinois, Champaign/ Urbana may interview on campus in early February. Interview Deadline: March 19, 2009. |
References |
Arrange for two letters of reference to be received before your interview, if possible, and no later than February 26, 2010. At least one recommendation should be from a current or former supervisor. The other recommendation can be from an academic reference, an extracurricular reference, or any other reference that can comment on your potential to succeed in a professional environment. Notification of acceptance to Phase II will be no later than March 26, 2010. |
Confirmation |
Your written confirmation of intent to participate must be received no later than April 2, 2010. Confirmation means commitment to fulfill all terms of the program. No agency assignment will be made without a confirmation letter. |
Phase II - Agency Assignment
Referral to an agency by April 23, 2010.
| Agency Visit | Interview with an agency representative and acceptance by the agency. (Each agency has the option of accepting or rejecting candidates.) |
| Contract | Return of signed co-signed contract and W4 form by May 28, 2010. NO ACCEPTANCE IS FINAL UNTIL A CONTRACT WITH A PLACEMENT AGENCY HAS BEEN SIGNED. While we make every effort to match interns and agencies to the satisfaction of both, on occasion the interview between agency and prospective intern reveals a mismatch. We then make every effort to arrange a more satisfactory match. However, we cannot guarantee another placement. |
