Following the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal and parts of India, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is collecting funds to help those affected. The Philip M. & Ethel Klutznick Lecture in Jewish Civilization will be held on Thursday, May 28, 7:30 p.m. featuring Professor Ruth Langer.  Her topic is "Dealing with 'Difficult' Prayers: Jewish Liturgy in the an Age of Jewish-Christian Dialogue".  The lecture is sponsored by the Crown Family Center for Jewish and Israel Studies, Northwestern University and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and will be held at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, Northwestern University Campus, 50 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston.   Read More »
