Government Affairs Offices

About the Chicago Office

Chicago City HallThe JUF Chicago Government Affairs office develops and maintains working relationships with key government officials who formulate policy and make decisions affecting the Jewish community of Chicago. We present legislative initiatives on behalf of the most vulnerable clients in Chicago. Our goal is to impact policy and decision-making as it relates to the Jewish community.

About the Springfield Office

SpringfieldThe Springfield office health and human services initiatives often transcend the Jewish community. We explore issues relating to quality of urban life, emergency shelters and transitional housing programs, public employment programs, refugee resettlement, Medicaid and senior citizen issues. Springfield also focuses on issues relevant to non-profit organizations including property tax abatements and fighting attacks on the non-profit sector.

Mission to Springfield

Each year the Springfield office organizes a mission to the state capitol for Federation and agency leadership. This allows our community to advocate our elected officials on issues important to the Jewish Federation and our community.
