A shatnez laboratory that tests to ensure that wool and linen, in accordance with Jewish law, are not mixed together in garments. Other testing locations are: Ralph Tailors, 2727 West Touhy Avenue; Jefferson Valet, 6022 North Keystone; Star Cleaners, 3704 Dempster; and Suits 20/20, 7651 North Caldwell.

Vital services are provided to clients of CJE by hundreds of volunteers. Whether it's delivering a nutritious meal to a homebound senior, assisting in a group activity, making a weekly call to someone alone at home, or having a heartfelt conversation over a game of cards, a wide variety of opportunities exist for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of others.

BIG IDEA at JCC Chicago

BIG IDEA is the ultimate summer experience for curious, creative tweens and teens (4th-9th grades). Each day blends technology workshops with traditional camp fun-swimming, sports, art-all in the spirit of Israel's high-tech industry. Workshops include coding, graphic design, mobile app development, cyber security, robotics, electronic DJ, web design and more. 2 week sessions.
