Holocaust Community Services provides support to survivors living in the Chicago area in order to maximize their ability to remain living independently in the community. HCS provides a range of in-home services, counseling, care management,  financial assistance, drop-in groups, community programs and assistance in applying for reparations. Training seminars are provided to sensitize and educate nursing home and hospital staff, professionals, students and others about the special issues of aging Holocaust survivors.  HCS is a collaborative effort of Jewish Child and Family Services, Council for Jewish Elderly, HIAS Chicago and Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

Holocaust Community Services is a communal service network for aging survivors of the Holocaust and their families.  Services include home delivered meals, transportation, adult day services, personal care, housekeeping, laundry, counseling, care management, drop-in groups, financial assistance, assistance with applications for compensation and reparation program, consultation and training.  It is a collaborative effort of JCFS, Council for Jewish Elderly, HIAS Chicago, and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
