AUDIO: Paul Wieder Interviews The Maccabeats
The Maccabeats are the Jewish a cappella group from Yeshiva University
in New York. Their Chanukah-themed song, “Candlelight,” has a video with
nearly 5 million views on YouTube and is a bona-fide Internet
sensation. They will perform that song and tunes from their CD “Voices
from the Heights”at Sing Out Chicago in support of the 2011 JUF Annual
Campaign, on March 13, at the NorthShore Center for the Performing Arts
in Skokie. BOTH THE 2:00 PM. AND 4:30 PM SHOWS ARE SOLD OUT.
