Sanctuary - Teen Philanthropy in Action
Teens often are referred to as the leaders of tomorrow. But many of them aren’t waiting for tomorrow. They are making a difference in the world today.
This episode of the public affairs program “Sanctuary” takes an in-depth look at teens who are running philanthropic foundations, organizing engagement fairs, immersing themselves in hands-on volunteering … and learning skills that will change their lives.
The show features Hallie Shapiro Devir and Stephanie Goldfarb, who lead many of the teen philanthropy and engagement programs at the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, and a wide range of teens who are giving, doing and leading in many different ways.
This episode is hosted by Cindy Sher.
“Sanctuary” is a joint production of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and the Chicago Board of Rabbis, in cooperation with ABC7-Channel 7.
