Sanctuary: Purim

The holiday, a favorite of children, is celebrated with costumes, noisemakers, triangular pastry treats and great revelry. The Purim story itself, retold each year, describes a victory over threatened annihilation in ancient Persia, and features Esther, one of the greatest Jewish heroines.  Joining the discussion will be Rabbi Matt Futterman, senior educator at Anshe Emet Synagogue, and Rabbi Dahlia Kronish, rabbi-in-residence at Solomon Schechter School.

This episode of the program is hosted by Jerry Kaye.
