David Brinn serves as Assistant Program Director of Public Affairs for the Jewish Community Relations Council of the JUF and the Government Affairs Office of the Jewish Federation. David began his career at JUF in 2006 as a Campus Associate on the Hillel Israel Initiative, where he launched Israel-advocacy activities on Illinois university and college campuses. He transitioned to a role as JCRC Domestic Affairs Associate, where he advocated on issues including hate crimes legislation, church-state relations, interfaith and interethnic relations, voter registration and the environment. In his current position, David is tasked with developing relationships with government officials, Jewish organizations and other ethnic and civic groups on issues of concern for the community and for outreach and education purposes.
David truly embodies the spirit of tikkun olam, as exemplified by his decision to spend a vacation assisting with flood relief in Iowa.
