We are pleased that you will be attending the Israel @ 60 Independence Day Gala on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Northwestern University’s McGaw Hall/Welsh Ryan Arena. We’re looking forward to the community coming together to celebrate Israel on a wonderful evening filled with meaning and music.
Tickets are required for entry and are non-transferable. No one will be allowed to enter without a ticket.
A few details that will make the evening more enjoyable:
- You have a general admission ticket. There are no pre-assigned seats. The front doors of the stadium will open at 5:00 p.m. Please allow yourself enough time to go through security and select your seat. The program will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
- Please allow sufficient time for security measures. Plan to carry in to the stadium as little as possible. There will be no coat check and all bags will be searched.
- Parking will be available in three designated lots around the Northwestern campus. The lots directly across the street on the east and west sides of the stadium will charge $10 per car. The satellite parking lot and on-street parking is free. View directions and a map of parking locations (PDF).
- Shuttles will run continuously from the outlying parking lots to the stadium from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and then again when the show concludes.
- Kosher refreshments will be available for purchase prior to the start of the show. They will include soft drinks, water and light snacks (pretzels, cookies and candy).
The response to this event has been overwhelming and we will have a sell-out crowd. If you do not plan on using all or any of your tickets, please return them to JUF, 30 S. Wells St., #3107, Chicago, IL, 60606 or call the Israel @ 60 hotline at (312) 444-2905. This will enable other members of the community to use your tickets.
Our community has stood by Israel in times of trouble. Now it is our great pleasure and honor to celebrate with her in a time of joy. We look forward to seeing you on May 8th.
