Why we do it

Reason 4. Many of our environmental initiatives promoting energy efficiency can save individuals and institutions money:

  1. Rick Katz, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation’s Facilities Corporation, describes the Federation’s stringent commitment to “green” facilities as both a cost-saving and carbon-emissions reducing initiative.
  2. For some customers, it is rising energy prices as much as concern for the environment that is prompting them to consider solar power for their homes and businesses.
