JUF's Joyfully Jewish programs offer many exciting opportunities for families with young children to explore and cultivate Jewish life. From welcoming a newborn, to providing free Jewish books and music, to gift vouchers that help supplement Jewish early education, Joyfully Jewish programs help families experience and celebrate the joys of Jewish life, community and learning. Each program is co-sponsored by a partner institution to encourage families to connect with one another and with the rich Jewish educational offerings in Chicago. |
![]() | Hands on HeroesHands on Heroes is a program that offers families with young children the opportunity to do mitzvot (good deeds) together. Volunteer opportunities are geared towards families with children ages 8 and under. New, age-appropriate projects will be offered each month. |
![]() | JUF Book BuddiesJUF Book Buddies is an exciting program in the northwest suburbs for young families with children up to 5 years old. One Sunday a month, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, Book Buddies participants gather to learn about Jewish holidays, meet new friends and spend meaningful time with their families at the Barnes & Noble in Vernon Hills. All our welcome and there is no cost to attend, but preregistration is recommended. |
