Jewish United Fund/ Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago (JUF) is focused on helping people in need, rescuing Jews in danger, and keeping Jewish life strong. JUF funds a network of nearly 70 agencies and programs that care for 300,000 Chicagoans of all faiths and two million Jews in Israel and around the world.

TeamJUF members will be asked to commit to a fundraising minimum (see below), in addition to a runner's individual 2016 JUF Annual Campaign gift. Runners will be provided with their own personalized fundraising webpage and will have ongoing fundraising and social media support from JUF.
Registration for the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will be conducted through a system of guaranteed entries and non-guaranteed, lottery-selected entries. Please read below the three available registration options to be a part of TeamJUF.
Guaranteed Entry with TeamJUF (Limited Spots Available NOW)
Runners who decide NOT to chance their entry into the Chicago Marathon may sign up to join TeamJUF today. If you decide to bypass the lottery and guarantee your entry, you will be required to commit to a fundraising minimum of $1,000 for the 2016 JUF Annual Campaign. This minimum is in addition to a runner's individual 2016 JUF Annual Campaign gift.
You are also guaranteed entry if:
- You have finished the Chicago Marathon five or more times in the last 10 years (2006-2015)
- You are a time qualifier (Men 3:15:00 / Women 3:45:00)
- You are a wheelchair athlete

Runners who enter the lottery system AND win a spot in the Chicago Marathon can still join TeamJUF. You will be required to commit to a fundraising minimum of $500 for the 2016 JUF Annual Campaign. Post-Lottery Guaranteed Entry
Runners who entered the lottery system and did NOT receive a spot in the Chicago Marathon are still eligible for a post- lottery guaranteed entry with TeamJUF. Those who gain a post-lottery guaranteed entry will be required to commit to a fundraising minimum of $1,500 for the 2016 JUF Annual Campaign. This minimum is in addition to a runner's individual 2016 JUF Annual Campaign gift. There are limited spots available and will be offered once the lottery is closed. Not a runner? You can still be a part of TeamJUF. Volunteer on race day (October 09, 2016) to cheer on TeamJUF and the other 45,000 Marathon runners. There will be a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Details to follow.
