Boaz Wolfe Pickus was born on Oct. 13, 2012, in Jerusalem to Abigail Pickus. Pickus, one of founders of the Nextbook series of Jewish books, is a former editor of JUF News and Moment Magazine. She now writes about the worlds of Jewish literature, arts, and life for The Jewish Week. Her work has appeared in The Chicago Tribune, Time Out Chicago, and many Jewish and other publications. 

Jennifer and Matthew Seidner of Chicago are the proud parents of a new baby boy! Jonah Zachary Seidner was born on July 12-he weighed 8 lbs, 6 oz and was 19 inches long. He has two proud big sisters, Talia and Perla, and loving grandparents Doris and Ron Lazarus of Long Grove and Caroline and Mike Seidner of Edison, NJ.

Danielle and Jay Sandler of Chicago are the proud parents of a new baby girl! Liv was born on March 27, 2012.  The proud grandparents are Renee and David Kozin of Chicago and Connie and Gerry Sandler of Golden Valley, Minnesota.

Dr. Jeanne Miriam Huff, née Horowitz, and Matthew Robert Huff of Chicago are the proud parents of a baby boy.  Drs. Steven and Sandra Horowitz of Flossmoor and Raymond and Linda Huff of Peoria are the even more proud grandparents. Tom Lev Huff was born Oct. 2., weighing seven pounds and six ounces and measuring 21 inches.

Amy Spar and Howard Rosenburg are the proud parents of a baby boy. Abraham "Abie" Philip Rosenburg was born Sept. 7.  Abie joins sister Cara Bella, 6, and brother Benjamin Moshe, 3. 

Mazel tov to Megill Hameiri on becoming a big brother! Helen Bloch and Dr. Avikam Hameiri are the proud parents of a new baby boy! Ron Lev Bloch Hameiri was born on the second seder night, April 19, and weighed six pounds, nine ounces, and was 20 inches long. Helen is the principal of the Law Offices of Helen Bloch, P.C., while Avikam, a Netanya native, is a licensed professional engineer and the president of Property Expand Corporation, a residential real estate brokerage company. 

Ron and Erika Krit of Glenview, are proud parents of a new baby boy! Henry Daniel Krit was born July 18 and weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 20 inches long.

Solomon and Dr. Sara Rutzky of Raleigh, North Carolina are the proud parents of a new baby boy! Raphael David Rutzky was born March 2 and weighs 6 pounds 13 oz. and is 20  inches long.

Proud grandparents are Dr. Ronald and Alene Rutzky of Homewood and Glenn and Martha Decherd of Portland, OR.

Laura Gingiss Wander and Steve Wander of Northbrook are the proud parents of a new baby boy.  Jacob Howard Wander was born on March 9, 2011 and weighs 8 pounds 7 ounces and is 21 1/4 inches long.  Proud grandparents are Carole Mark Gingiss and Jody Gingiss of Highland Park and Toby and Fred Wander of Albany, NY.
