JUF Right Start is a gift voucher program that encourages young Jewish families to choose Jewish Preschool. The centerpeice of the program is a gift voucher ranging from $500 - $1000 to offset the cost of tuition for the first child in the family to be enrolled in Jewish preschool or daycare. The Chicago Center for Jewish Genetic Disorders provides public and professional education about health issues affecting the Jewish population. We work to empower community members to seek out information and prevention strategies for Jewish genetic disorders and genetic mutations associated with hereditary cancers. The Center translates laboratory discoveries into accessible information for the Jewish community, as well as for physicians, other health care and helping professionals, and the general public through educational events, screening and prevention programs, an information and referral help line, and advocacy. The Center is a cooperative effort of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and Children’s Memorial Hospital. |

The Jewish Healing Network of Chicago ensures that information about and access to social service, health and spiritual resources is available to people facing issues of illness, addiction and loss. We provide referrals to existing services in the Chicago area and create new services where needed. JHNC is administered by Jewish Child & Family Services in collaboration with CJE SeniorLife, the Chicago Board of Rabbis and Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation. Programs, available throughout the community, include: Information and Assistance. Meet others experiencing similar life challenges through a broad array of support groups offered by Jewish Child and Family Services and CJE SeniorLife, throughout the Chicago area. Israel Solidarity Day |

Israel Solidarity Day is an annual, community-wide event. JUF relies on hundreds of volunteers in order to help the event succeed. Volunteers are needed to register participants, distribute flags, lead rallies, serve food and chair activities. All ISD volunteers will receive a complimentary TOV t-shirt and lunch. |
