To build community resiliency at the individual, family and communal levels at times of crisis, the Jewish Community Emergency Resiliency Team (J-CERT) coordinates the JUF/Federation’s efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from critical incidents that affect the Chicago-area Jewish community. The program provides crisis intervention, trauma assistance and training to JUF/Federation personnel and to its many partner agencies. J-CERT also works to enhance coordination and collaboration among organizations and communities and with local, state and federal health, safety and emergency personnel. The program’s primary goal is to enable an orderly, systematic response in order to mitigate the impact of critical incidents such as fires, storms, client accidents and terrorism, |
