We'll send your child a Jewish bedtime story or CD every month – for free!

The PJ Library is a free program that sends high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish books and music to families each month – with absolutely no strings attached.  Not even the ones on your pajamas! (a.k.a. PJs)

Families with children ages 6 months – 6 years are eligible.

The PJ Library program is currently full.  Please do, however, click on “SIGN UP” and fill out the online form so that all of your information is readily accessible as spaces open.  As space in the program becomes available, we will notify you by email.  Thanks for your understanding

A Little More About the PJ Library

The PJ Library was created by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, a leader in creating and supporting innovative opportunities for Jewish engagement in Western Massachusetts and beyond.  It is a gift to Chicagoland families from the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, local donors, and local area Jewish educators.

The PJ Library program reaches out to Jewish families with young children to help create stronger Jewish homes-homes that foster children’s curiosity about their Jewish heritage and help families explore their Jewish identity.  Participating families will receive a high-quality Jewish children’s book or CD sent to their home every month accompanied by resources to help families discuss topics. Regardless of your level of observance or affiliation, the gift of stories and songs is sure to enrich your entire family’s Jewish journey.

Eligibility

In Chicago, the PJ Library is free for the first 5,000 eligible families that sign up.  In order to be eligible, families must be living in the Chicago metropolitan area (Lake, Cook, Kane, McHenry, Will & Dupage Counties) and have children between the ages of 6 months – 6 years.

If you have children or grandchildren living outside the Chicago area and would like to enroll those children, please visit www.pjlibrary.org. PJ Library is offered in over 100 communities in North America or can be purchased as a gift for children living in areas where there is no active PJ Library program.

The PJ Library is part of JUF's Joyfully Jewish Family Programs. The PJ Library was created by The Harold Grinspoon Foundation and is a gift to your family from the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, local donors and your local early childhood Jewish educators.
