Young Real Estate Group Panel PresentationOn Feb. 28, the Young Real Estate Group of the Jewish United Fund sponsored a presentation on “LEEDing the Way By Going Green,” featuring David Baum, Principal at Baum Realty Group; Nathan Kipnis, Principal at Kipnis Architects Inc.; and Ori Sivan, co-founder of Greenmakers Supply Co. The panel was moderated by Senior Manager and LEED AP, at Mesirow Financial Real Estate Inc., Erik Pampel. Over 100 people gathered hear to an educational presentation on how these three professionals are working to design, develop, brand and build environmentally sustainable projects in Chicago. The presentation was well received and attendees eagerly engaged in the Q & A session afterwards. The Young Real Estate Group (YREG), is an affinity group within the Real Estate & Building Trades Division of the Jewish United Fund. YREG emerged as a means of reaching out to young professionals in Chicago by providing professional and social networking, volunteer opportunities at local social service agencies, and educational programs.
