Marketing & Media Division to Visit ABC 7 Studio

Join Marketing & Media Division professionals for an evening of networking and a special program at the ABC 7 State Street Studios. Station General Manager Emily Barr will be on hand to talk about the history of the studio and the 2006 build out that now includes the State Street Sidewalk Studio. The event will be Wednesday, April 22nd from 6:00-7:45 p.m. (program will start and end promptly at these times due to evening news telecasts) at the ABC 7 State Street Studios at 190 N. State St. Cost is $20 in advance, $30 at the door.

Space is limited and reservations will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Contact Benjamin Kaplan, Division Director, for more information.

J-HELP Job Fair- Employers Needed

As part of the J-HELP initiative, the Trades, Industries & Professions Division, in conjunction with the Young Leadership Division and Jewish Vocational Service, will be hosting a job fair for young Jewish professionals in the spring. We are currently looking for employers with jobs to fill. Whether it is a company you own, work for, or are willing to solicit on our behalf, we appreciate your efforts to make this a success for JUF and for job seekers in the community. If your company would like to participate, or if you know of companies that would, please contact Jed Silberg.

Yom Ha'atzmaut Events

Israel Solidarity Day:

The 2009 Israel Solidarity Day, featuring the Walk with Israel, will take place on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009. This year we are heading back to your neighborhoods by holding events in the City, Northern Suburbs, Northwest Suburbs, Oak Park/River Forest, Skokie/Lincolnwood/Rogers Park/Peterson Park, Southern Suburbs and Western Suburbs. Join us in your community for a fun-filled day of festivities! Register now to participate or volunteer.

Israel Independence Day:
Featuring Ethiopian-Israeli Hip-Hop group Strong Black Coffee. Wednesday, April 29th, 2009 at 12 noon at Daley Plaza in Chicago (Washington & Clark Streets).

The Jewish Professional Women’s Forum (JPWF) exists within JUF’s Trades, Industries and Professions Division, bringing together professional women in the Chicago area for communal engagement, interaction, networking support and involvement in the Jewish Community. It's Raining Volunteer Opportunities at TOV

The JUF TOV Volunteer Network's Spring Mitzvah Mania 2009, a calendar of one-time volunteer opportunities, runs through Sunday, May 17th. Shower some goodwill over Chicagoland this spring! Serve a meal, sort food and furniture donations, visit with the elderly and so much more. There are projects for groups and individuals of all ages.
