JUF | Springboard | Parent Workshops

Parent Workshops

Parenting is increasingly complicated in the age of social media. Through Springboard’s focus on whole teen health we are providing a series of workshops to explore some of the challenges modern parents face and to provide meaningful opportunities to come together to discuss these challenges as a community.

Focus on Generation Z

Finsta, Uber dating, darty, FOLO, kaomoji, retail dining, mood marketing, adult coloring books, Dubsmash. Did any of those words sound unfamiliar to you? These are just some of the trends and terms that are shaping Generation Z, the name given to those born from the year 2000 on. Sheila Katz will lead an interactive session on this young generation and the profound impact of social media on their growth and development. Parents of Gen Z (tweens through college) and Chicago area Jewish Youth Professionals are invited to attend this free event. Light refreshments served.  This session is part of our Parenting in the Age of Social Media series and is being co-sponsored by Springboard and Hillels of Illinois.
