Mini-Camp TOV
Mini-Camp TOV will be Tuesday, June 11 and Wednesday, June 12, 2013!
What is Mini-Camp TOV?
Mini-Camp TOV includes a variety of hands-on volunteer projects sponsored by the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago at non-profit agencies around Chicago. From combatting hunger and homelessness, to caring for the environment, to brightening a young child's day when they are sick, a unique opportunity to make a difference awaits you.
Mini-Camp TOV is the same great experience as Camp TOV, in a smaller package! It will be a jam-packed 2-day session of hands-on volunteering, taking place in early June after school ends and before overnight camp begins. To participate in Mini-Camp TOV, you must be a Jewish teen from the Chicago area entering grades 7-12. If you love Mini-Camp TOV, you can experience all new projects in August with the full session of JUF Camp TOV!
Each program costs $72, which covers transportation, a camp t-shirt, water bottle, two Kosher snacks daily, programming and materials. Teens should bring their own bagged lunch both days.
Get with the Program!
Transportation to and from the volunteer sites will be provided from the JUF building, 30 South Wells Street (at Monroe) and potentially a suburban location, based on enrollment. Teens may choose to: drive to JUF (parking information will be provided), take the Metra or L (JUF staff will pick up teens at station), or be dropped off.
