Green Mitzvah Projects
North Branch Restoration Project

The North Branch Restoration Project is a group of dedicated citizens that work to help protect and restore native Illinois ecosystems. They work in cooperation with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, the Volunteer Stewardship Network of The Nature Conservancy and the many conservation organizations within the Chicago Wilderness coalition.
#2.  Volunteers will help restore this North Branch natural area. No experience is necessary. The steward for the day will provide instructions, tools, and a snack to enjoy at a mid-workday break!

Lincoln Park Conservatory

This 117 year-old conservatory is in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Its display houses are open every day and boast four major flower shows per year.
#3.  Enjoy the outdoors while mulching and weeding the conifer garden that surrounds the conservatory.
