In Kind Donations
Collection Drives
Volunteers can organize collection drives to collect needed items for agencies. Some suggested items are:
Art Supplies: construction paper, drawing pads, crayons, markers, art kits, scissors, glue.
Cell Phones
Cleaning Supplies: laundry detergent, window cleaner, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, bathroom and kitchen cleaner, mops, sponges.
Gift Cards: for grocery stores, clothing stores, all purpose stores and public transportation.
New and Gently-Used Children’s Books
Non-Perishable Food Items
Paper Goods: paper towels, napkins, kleenex, toilet paper, paper plates and cups.
School Supplies: notebooks, binders, black and blue pens, wide-ruled paper, #2 pencils, spiral notebooks, calculators, markers, highlighters, folders, back packs, scissors.
Sporting Goods: baseball bats and mitts, soccer balls, tennis rackets and balls, swimming goggles and caps, basketballs and nets.
Summer Camp Supplies: bug spray, sunscreen, towels, soap, soap dishes, sunglasses, disposable cameras, flashlights, toothbrush holders, stationary and stamps.
Toys: stuffed animals, board games, science kits, art kits, coloring books, building blocks.
Women’s Business Attire
Women’s Formalwear and Accessories: prom dresses, jewelry, purses, shoes, makeup, panty hose.
Winter Outerwear: gloves, hats, scarves, mittens, coats, ear muffs.
Resale Shops
Unwanted items that are in good condition can also be donated to resale shops whose proceeds benefit the agencies:
