Good Deeds Day is an international day of "doing good" founded in Israel in 2007. Participants from over 75 countries throughout the world perform good deeds, proving that any single person can make a difference in their community. Join the movement with TOV on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
There are 15+ volunteer projects at agencies across Chicagoland (advance registration required).
Plus, there is a volunteer open house from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Menomonee Club located at 1535. N. Dayton St., Chicago.
- Projects include preparing sleeping mats for the homeless, making toys and treats for animal adoption agencies, writing cards to cancer fighters and their caretakers, designing a mosaic mural to be displayed in a hospital, and much more!
- A special kick-off will take place at 1:30pm with Illinois State Representative Laura Fine, sponsor of the Random Acts of Kindness bill.
- Advance registration is preferred.
There will also be smaller, satellite open houses at Belmont Village in Buffalo Grove in partnership with the Northwest Suburban Jewish Connectors and West Suburban Temple Har Zion in River Forest in partnership with JUF Young Families.
