Jewish Olympic Medals: 2008

Israel got a medal in 2008! A bronze for windsurfing. Mazel tov!

One of Great Britain's Jewish athletes won a silver for rowing, and one of Agentina's won a bronze for field hockey.

American Jewish athletes won a silver for fencing, but did best in the swimming pool... with a bronze, three silvers and an amazing five golds! Wow... if all Jews could swim like that, Moses wouldn't have needed to part the sea!

Here's who left Beijing with some precious medals:

We've Got Mail!

Yes! Our Celebrity Corner got its first piece of fan mail! From one of the Celebrities themselves!! We're so excited, we're going to use up all our exclamation points!!! Here's the letter!!!!

Dear JUF,

My name is Halley Feiffer -- I'm an actress who is featured on your Jewish Celebrity list in the Tween section of your website. I just wanted to thank you for this nice mention about me and my father, Jules Feiffer. I just stumbled upon it and find it really delightful. What a great website.

Best,

Halley
