Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson

Rachel's a lot of romances and romatic comedies. She's in Waiting for Forever with Blythe Danner, who is Gwyneth Paltrow's mom.  She's also in New York, I Love You with James Caan (who is Scott Caan's dad!) and Justin Bartha... and in The Last Kiss with Zach Braff. But she's in soooo many romances, there's no way that was her last kiss!

Rachel has moved succesfully into hit movies from her huge-hit show, The O.C. with Adam Brody. In case you were wondering, that’s slang for Orange County, the county in California which has Los Angeles. (There also is a movie called Orange County, starring Jack Black, so don’t get them confused!)

Rachel's 2008 movie was called Jumper, but it's not about kangaroos. It's about a kid who can teleport from one place to another, like Nightcrawler in the X-Men. That'd be handy-- no waiting for the bus!

She has been in a few other TV shows: That ’70s Show with Laura Prepon, 8 Simple Rules with Katey Sagal, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Sarah Michelle Gellar… and way too many other Jewish actors to list!

While still in high school Rachel appeared in everything from musicals like Bye Bye Birdie (music by Jewish composer Charles Strouse) to serious dramas like The Crucible (written by Jewish playwright Arthur Miller). She also appeared in commercials for Raisin Bran and even Pepto Bismol! Her favorite actors include Kate Winslet, Johnny Depp, Audrey Hepburn and Woody Allen.

Rachel is known as somewhat of a fashion plate. She loves Jewish designer Stella McCartney, but also shops at Target and vintage stores. But she also is a basketball fan, and loves those L.A. Clippers.

And she loves kids! She is part if a literacy project called the Young Storytellers Program that gets kids to tell their own stories. In fact, if she wasn’t an actress, Rachel says she’d be a pre-school teacher.

Bonus:

Stella McCartney’s dad is Paul McCartney, as in the Beatles! Her mom was named Linda Eastman. Linda played in Paul’s later band, Wings, after the Beatles broke up.
