Tween Volunteers

You like to do a lots of things, like make new friends... do stuff that's creative or outdoors or just plain fun... and change the world for the better.

But what if we told you that you can do all those things-- at the same time?!

Well, you can. You can volunteer through TOV. TOV (which rhymes with "stove") is the Hebrew word for "good," and you'll be doing good as soon as you pick your project and sign up! You can volunteer with your friends, classmates, or family.

But T-O-V also stands for "Tikkun Olam Volunteers." "Tikkun Olam" is the Jewish way of saying "repairing the world." And if you look around, you'll see a lot of things that need fixing!

Well, no one can do it all at once... or all alone. That's why we created TOV, which connects these projects with the people who have the energy and drive to do them. Like you!

Here on the Tween Page, we will list many ways you can help, with projects picked just for you and your fellow terrific tweens who really want to change the world.

See the TOV page to find out more, sign up, and help make a difference!

Here's what you're going to have to know:

-Your name and address, phone and e-mail, and your birthday. (We hope you know all that stuff!)

-Who or what you want to volunteer with, meaning who you want to help-- Other kids, older people, or whole families? Maybe people who are poor, or disabled, or who need help learning to read?

-Where you want to volunteer. Maybe you'd like being outdoors and helping the environment. Or working in a store, with clothes and toys and books. Or going to people's houses to bring them food, or serving them at the JUF Uptown Cafe.

-When you can volunteer. On weekends, during the day, or maybe in the afternoon?

And that's it! Just go here and fill in the form. Someone should get back to you soon, and tell you all the palces that need the kind of help you can give.
