Join State and local officials for a pre-walk rally! 

10:15 am 6k Walk With Israel and Family Walk
Enjoy a festive stroll along the lake with your friends. Choose between the 6k walk or the shorter, kid-friendly Family Walk. Either way, keep your eyes open for the King David Drummers.

11:15 am Carnival and Synagogue-Hosted Activity Booths Open
Carnival games and activities for kids of all ages – face painting, arts and crafts, slides, moon bounces and much more!  Keep an eye out for your congregation's booth!

11:15 am Taste of Kosher Chicago Begins
Enjoy meat or dairy selections from a variety of local kosher eateries and caterers. Falafel, Israeli salad, Chinese, hot dogs, pizza, desserts and more!

12:15 pm The Idan Raichel Project
One of Israel’s most dynamic musical groups performs live! Keyboardist/composer/producer Idan Raichel has worked with 70 musicians from a wide range of backgrounds to produce a world-music sound that uniquely celebrates the many cultures and people of Israel.

Directions

From the North, take Lake Shore Drive south and travel past McCormick Place. Exit at 31st Street and turn left, then turn left again onto Fort Dearborn Street (the first traffic signal; there is no street sign). Follow the signs to the parking garage.

From the South, take the Bishop Ford Expressway or I-57 to the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) north. Take 90/94 to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) north and exit at Lake Shore Drive. Take Lake Shore Drive south and exit at 31st. Turn left on 31st to Fort Dearborn Street (the first traffic signal; there is no street sign) and turn left. Follow the signs to the parking garage.

Underground parking is available at McCormick Place for $16.

Free, round-trip bus service is available from many synagogues – contact your congregation for details – and from Chicago-area JCCs. Call 312-444-2905 by April 23 to catch a ride from a JCC.
