YLD Board Member Bio

Marley Kotler is serving her second year on the YLD Board. Marley grew up in Glencoe, IL and is currently living in the Gold Coast. She graduated from Indiana University in May 2006 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Marley has been teaching for nine years and is currently teaching Second Grade at Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook. A Jewish presence has always been important to her. When traveling on the 2013 YLD Israel Trip, Marley felt an instant connection with the country and knew when she came back she needed to nurture that love. Since then she dove into YLD and has never looked back. As a first year Board member, she served on the Gesher Committee  and Community Volunteer Events Committee. She is looking forward to this next year on  the Board and intends to continue to deepen her commitment to the Chicagoland Jewish community. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spinning, exploring the city's cuisine, and spending time with her family.
