YLD Board Member Bio

Rachel Geller is entering her first year on the YLD Board. She graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana in 2007 with a degree in Recreation, Sport, & Tourism Management. A native of Illinois, Rachel returned to Chicago after graduation and worked in the financial industry as a Client Relations Associate. Realizing a passion she had for counseling underprivileged children, Rachel left her job in 2011 to enroll in graduate school. She recently earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and is currently a Licensed Social Worker with a focus in elementary schools. Since living in Chicago, Rachel's involvement in YLD includes the 2011 YLD Israel Mission trip, Gesher program, LEADS facilitator, and various volunteer and social events. Rachel joined the YLD Board to further increase her involvement in the Jewish community, help make a difference in the lives of others, and be part of a group committed to building the next generation of young leaders.
