YLD Board Member Bio
![]() | Rachel Friedman is serving in her second year on the YLD Board. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Rachel went to college at Ohio University, where she not only left with a dual degree in Political Science and French, but she also met the man who would later become her husband, David. Rachel is currently a stay-at-home mom to her son Colin, born in May 2012 and she runs her own business called Azalea Circle Designs, creating handmade custom scrapbooks and calendars. Rachel began her JUF involvement as the Program Associate for the JUF TOV Volunteer Network and remains involved in YLD because she is passionate about the welfare of the Jewish community in Chicago, Israel and all over the world; she wants to help ignite that fire in others. In her spare time, Rachel loves long walks (the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer to be exact), Pilates, spending time with friends, traveling, trying new restaurants and blogging at oychicago.com. |
