Ariella brings Jewish values and laws to her work as a police officer. She serves as a role model for religious women interested in pursuing unconventional careers while still adhering to their religious observances. Previously dispatched as a volunteer for Hatzalah and a current Shomrim society member, Ariella has shown a strong devotion to the interdisciplinary nature of public service and Judaism.

Outside her vocation, Ariella leads a life brimming with Jewish community engagement as a wife, mother to two young sons, and member of Congregation Ezras Israel.

AGE:
32

PRIMARY GIG:
Police officer and mom

ON THE SIDE:
Exercise, bake, spend time with my kids and family, keep in touch with my friends

HOW DO YOU GIVE BACK:
Our doors are always open, even when my husband would prefer to sleep more instead. We offer to host people for sleeping and meals whenever we can. We have made a habit of hosting shalom zachors for friends and family. Donating to tzeddakah. For a few years I helped organize and provide police security for several shuls during the High Holidays.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 10 WORDS OR LESS:
Tenacious, hardworking mom who thinks outside the Jewish box.

A JEW WHO INSPIRES YOU:
My mother. She was the first of her generation to break away from the “typical” Jewish, female jobs and pursue an unusual career for a religious female. She was a news reporter on the radio who did not work on Shabbos. She was a trailblazer who taught me by example that I can do the seemingly impossible.
