Iszy is determined to make sure every Chicagoan is taken care of - especially immigrants and refugees who may otherwise be overlooked.
Described as someone with "infectious" dedication and passion, Iszy became involved with immigrant rights advocacy while in college at Northwestern. He served as a liaison between Northwestern Hillel and the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs and later took on several roles at JCUA. As part of the Immigration Justice Committee, he lobbies, creates partnerships with other organizations, fundraises, and educates other members.
After graduating, he pursued a Masters of Public Policy to create an advocacy-based career. At work, he researches, reports on, and analyzes data about a variety of social justice issues including housing, immigration, and gun violence.
In his spare time, Iszy is a frequent participant in activities at Base Andersonville, Logan Square, and Lincoln Park. As a Base Andersonville Ambassador, he plans events centered around promoting social justice while having fun.

SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME:
I am a recent NASCAR fan! It was one of the first sports back during spring 2020. I initially saw my fandom as a joke, but now realize I just really enjoy watching! My favorite drivers are Kevin Harvick, Bubba Wallace, and Daniel Suarez.
IF TIME AND MONEY WERE LIMITLESS, I WOULD:
Rededicate all efforts in my life to become a late-blooming shortstop for the New York Yankees.
