During these unprecedented times it’s even more
important to reach out to those in need, and to think about necessities people
need that they might not be able to afford. Recently I collected
Feminine Hygiene Products for the Vernon Township Food Pantry. Menstrual
products are among the most requested, yet least donated items at food
pantries. The simple truth is that tampons and pads are expensive, averaging
around $8 a box at the local Walgreens and CVS. I wanted to donate items that I
know women need. Through the generous donations of family and friends I was
able to donate 17 boxes of pads and 9 boxes of tampons to the Food Pantry.
