YLD President
Marc is a journalist based on Chicago's North Side. Since 2015, he's served as editor of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, the country's oldest daily legal news organization. Before then, he was in the reporting ranks, covering Illinois politics from the paper's Capitol bureau in Springfield, then covering Cook County lawsuits from Chicago's Daley Center. He's received the prestigious Lisagor Award for Best Deadline Reporting from the Chicago Headline Club and has been recognized by the Illinois Press Association for his eyeroll-worthy, pun-laden headlines. A native of Vernon Hills, IL., Karlinsky earned a bachelor's degree in government and communication from the University of Maryland, College Park, and received a master's degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield. Marc is president of the Chicago Terps Alumni Network within the University of Maryland Alumni Association.
