Come play with jBaby Chicago! From music to yoga to an expectant parent series, jBaby classes partner with local Jewish organizations to offer something unique for families.

Build Your Village

Build your community with other new parents of babies as we sing, schmooze, and share the oys and joys of the first year of parenting. Build Your Village is led by Director of Early and Elementary Family Life Rachel Mylan. We will offer yummy snacks, but feel to bring your own nut-free favorites. Repeat attendance is encouraged for community-building, but not a requirement for participation.

Expectant parents at similar stages of life will gather to socialize, share resources and discuss issues pertaining to being pregnant and preparing for parenthood. This group is open to expectant single moms and couples (LGBTQ couples welcome) who are expecting the birth or adoption of their first baby, in which at least one member of the couple is Jewish.

Each session will include a guest speaker and topics will include newborn basics, adjusting to new roles as parents, Jewish baby rituals and creating a Jewish home.

Cohort 43.5 Thursday 6:30-8:30
For those expecting July-September.
Dates for this session include: June 5, 12, 17 (Tuesday), 20 (Shabbat dinner), & 26, 2025.
