Come play with jBaby Chicago! From music to yoga to an expectant parent series, jBaby classes partner with local Jewish organizations to offer something unique for families.

JUF Young Families programming is enriched by the diversity of our participants. We know each family is unique and all are welcome. Build Your Village

Build your community with other new parents of babies as we sing, schmooze, and share the oys and joys of the first year of parenting. Build Your Village is led by Director of Early and Elementary Family Life Rachel Mylan. We will offer yummy snacks, but feel to bring your own nut-free favorites. Kehillah Junior

Kehillah Junior is a joyful introduction to Shabbat for young children ages 2 and under and their families. Each week, our song leader will lead the group in lively Shabbat music, where children can sing, dance, and wiggle to their heart’s content. Then, the adults and tots will enter the Early Childhood Classroom to play, sing, socialize and craft. The classroom time will be run as a co-op model, where the adults can bring stories, songs or games if they wish, and enjoy the activity stations that will be set up ahead of time. Families will socialize and build connections during the session. Throughout the course, visitors, including JRC’s clergy, will share their unique talents, creating a rich and varied experience for all.

This class will meet November 1, 8, 15, December 6 & 13.

Connecting The Expecting | Cohort 45

Anshe Emet’s and JBaby’s Connecting the expecting program brings you a community of other new parents to engage with as you start your family. Expectant parents at similar stages of life will gather to socialize, share resources and discuss issues pertaining to being pregnant and preparing for parenthood. This group is open to expectant single moms and couples (LGBTQ couples welcome) who are expecting the birth or adoption of their first baby, in which at least one member of the couple is Jewish.
