COVID-19 Response

During this crisis EZRA has remained dedicated to our mission of Tikkun Olam or repairing the world. The Covid-19 pandemic caused a large increase in people seeking assistance from us and we are proud that we have been to respond to their needs. Our EZRA Team is working hard to make sure that every one of our clients receives the food, financial assistance, and support they need.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, EZRA has served about 1,300 people in need of food, financial assistance, and case management. We have doubled the amount of meals and pantry bags given to our clients, when compared to a typical year. During the Covid-19 surge, we will be working with a delivery service to provide contactless delivery to ensure that all EZRA clients have access to food.

We've also continued hosting virtual programs to reduce isolation and create community. Through online workshops and programs such as art and music therapy, ESL and computer classes, meditation and yoga, budgeting and housing workshops, and support groups and cooking demos, we are working to keep our community connected.
