Hillels of Illinois Challah for Hunger

Challah for Hunger is a student-initiated group that brings together student volunteers to bake and sell challah bread, raising hundreds of dollars per campus and awareness for social justice causes, with an emphasis on combatting hunger programs. Most of the groups operate weekly during the school year, baking and selling 30 to 300 loaves of challah, helping to grow community awareness while providing a wonderful Shabbat experience.
