More than 150 people gathered Monday, August 10 at Emanuel Congregation in Chicago to remember the victims of the August 1 attack on Tel Aviv’s gay community center center, in which two people were killed and a dozen others injured.

The interfaith program, organized by Congregation Or Chadash and co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, included Orly Gil, consul general of Israel to the Midwest, and Rabbi Michael Balinsky, executive vice-president of the Chicago Board of Rabbis. Balinsky recited a prayer written by Rabbi Dov Linzer of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah in New York.
