TOV, Goldman Sachs give Sinai kids a day of play

On Tuesday, August 13, JUF’s Tikkun Olam Volunteer (TOV) Network partnered with Goldman Sachs to provide a day of respite for the children of Mt. Sinai’s Under the Rainbow Outpatient therapy program. Children of Under the Rainbow (UTR) range in age from 6 - 18 years old and suffer from hunger, domestic violence, abuse, neglect.  At UTR, they receive counseling and mentoring from Mt. Sinai’s dedicated staff.

Through TOV’s partnership with Goldman Sachs, 17 of these kids were able to spend a carefree day at Lake Zurich’s Apachi Day Camp.

The project was co-chaired by David Solow and Karen Mothkovich, as part of their firm’s signature volunteer program, Community TeamWorks.

If you are interested in getting your firm involved in similar projects, please contact Yael Brunwasser, Director of TOV at (312) 357-4978.
