Jane Faynshteyn

Jane Faynshteyn is a dedicated co-owner of three Goddard School franchises in Illinois, providing high quality childcare for children from infancy through Pre-K. Passionate about building community, she creates enriching environments that support both children and their families. Jane immigrated to the United States s a refugee in 1989, arriving from Belarus with her parents and older brother through HIAS (originally the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society). With the help of several Jewish organizations, she attended camp and Sunday School at the JCC, which deepened her connection to the Jewish community. Before her role at Goddard, Jane worked as an elementary school teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. She later spent four years at The Jewish United Fund (JUF), first with PJ Library in the Young Families Department and then as Director of Young Families Outreach for the Russian Speaking Jewish Division. In these roles, she organized events that welcomed new moms and young families into the Jewish community. Jane is deeply committed to giving back, participating in charitable initiatives throughout the year, often focusing on the Russian Speaking Jewish community. Since the tragic events of October 7, she has been especially active, traveling to Israel twice with Momentum and JUF, organizing fundraisers for the IDF, and supporting families affected by the attacks on Kibbutz Holit, including one Russian Speaking Jewish family she met during her travels. Jane holds degrees in Business Management and Psychology from Bradley University and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from DePaul University. She lives in Highland Park with her husband, Boris, and their two children, Nona and Maks, who often join her in her community-focused initiatives. The family is proud members of The Shul of Deerfield.
