Peer Ambassadors 

Are you a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who is excited about Jewish community, wants to help your friends learn more about Jewish programs, and wants to help shape the Chicago area Jewish teen experience? As a Peer Ambassador you will get to increase awareness about Jewish teen programs, encourage your peers to participate in these experiences, and will have the opportunity to create Jewish connections for your peers.

Peer Ambassadors will learn about the Chicago Jewish community, will improve upon communication, networking and relationship building skills. You will help at least 30 teens connect with the Jewish community.

Ambassadors can also receive a total of $300 over the course of the Ambassadorship. You will also be eligible for funding to implement programming.

Jewish Teen Alliance of Chicago

The Jewish Teen Alliance of Chicago (JTAC) is a teen board made up of members of various Chicago based Jewish youth groups and youth organizations. JTAC members are responsible for representing their youth groups on the board, gathering information about happenings in the Chicagoland Jewish youth community and sharing updates with their organizations. 

This year, a key focus on JTAC will be supporting 18 Under 18: A Celebration of Jewish Teens. Board members will serve as the Teen Planning Committee. 

Qualifications: 
• High school student living in the greater Chicago area
• Member in good standing of a Chicago area Jewish youth organization
• Viewed as a formal or informal leader by teens and staff of a Jewish Youth group or organization
