Parenting can be tough to navigate! Through Springboard’s focus on whole teen health, our goal is provide meaningful content, tools and experience to support you and to create opportunities to discuss these challenges as a community.


PhD in Parenting Tweens and Teens

PhD in Parenting Teens is a uniquely designed parent education program for parents of tweens (10-13) and teens (14-18+). Using proven parent education methodologies, this 6 part series will enhance parent-teen relationships, improve parenting skills, and enable parents to create a healthy, peaceful, and respectful home environment. Participants will benefit from 6 live one-hour facilitated sessions, a chance to learn alongside a cohort of peers, access monthly live "Help Me with This" Q and A sessions and home activities to reinforce the skills discussed in each session.

Erica Hruby, M.A., is a tween and teen specialist with over 25-years of professional experience working directly with tweens and teens in community, academic and residential environments. Her down to earth approach makes her highly relatable and enables her to share proven methodologies, insights, tips and tricks with parents. she is proud of her ability to help parents navigate their way through late childhood into high school and beyond. Erica holds a Master;s degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on children and teens. She is a mother of two daughters ages 19 and 24.

B’Tzelem Elohim - Supporting Your LGBTQIA+ Young Person

This program walks caregivers through some basic information about adolescent development with regard to sexuality and gender, addresses how to support their young person at home and at school, and allows them to ask questions that they need answered.

Social Media – Crossing the Digital Divide

This program looks at caregivers' concerns around screen-time and social media and puts it in perspective.  We focus on partnering with young people to communicate around solutions that encourage developing emotional intelligence and critical thinking on behalf of the whole family.

Living with Your Complicated Kid

Living with Your Complicated Kid: Brain Development, Stress, Risk Taking and how to help your young person navigate some of it is an interactive presentation that hones in on the developmental changes of middle school and looks at how to support kids through the tumultuous time period of their lives.
