Springboard Peer Ambassadors 2022-2023

Daniella Volkov

Daniella is a current senior at Walter Payton College Prep, where she is on the varsity dance team. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends, and biking. She is an active member of her school’s Jewish Student Union and this year participated in a relief mission in Houston with NCSY which allowed her to continue to discover her Jewish identity. She is very excited for her first year as a Springboard Peer Ambassador to help others discover their Jewish identities.

Gus Silberg

Gus is a current freshman attending Lane Tech. He has gone to the URJ camp OSRUI for eight years where he first got involved with his Jewish identity and has since been a part of his synagogue, Temple Sholom, and other programs. He enjoys running and hanging out with his friends. He is looking forward to strengthening his connections to other Jewish through Peer Ambassadors.

Izzie Rutman

Izzie Rutman is a sophomore at Deerfield High School. She is excited about the role of being a Springboard Peer Ambassador. Izzie loves being involved in her Jewish community. She is an active member of BBYO and enjoys meeting new people and attending events. Izzie was recently involved in Voices 101 and Student to Student, which she loved! Izzie attends JCC Camp Chi and in her free time likes to hang out with friends, work out, listen to music, and babysit. Her involvement with Jewish life has shaped the person she is today. Izzie is honored to be chosen as a Peer Ambassador and looks forward to connecting Jewish teens to activities and programs helping them get involved and active in Jewish life!

Lorelai Lindon

Lorelai is a current sophomore at Deerfield high school where she is on the swim team and water polo team. During the summer she goes to Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. Her Jewish identity thrives through camp along with her major involvement in her USY chapter.

Mia Greenberg

Mia is a senior at Glenbrook North High School where she plays tennis and is an active participant with the school government. She enjoys science, shoes, and spending time with her friends. She belongs to North Shore Congregation Israel. She is excited to be a Peer Ambassador because she loves being a leader and meeting new people!

Nicole Volkov

Nicole is a freshman at Jones College Prep, and a member of both the Jones dance team and the All About Dance company. She enjoys photography, walking around Chicago, and choreographing dances. She was inspired by her sister and older friends to become more connected with her Jewish identity. She has been attending JCC Camp Chi for two years and is excited to further her connections as a first-year Peer Ambassador.

Olivia Graham

Olivia Graham is a current junior at Vernon Hills High School. She attends Congregation Or Shalom has been teaching there for a number of years. For the last three years, Olivia has helped students learn Hebrew at Congregation Or Shalom through different movements. She is the current president of Jew Crew, the youth group at her synagogue and she is very excited to see what this year holds for that as well. Outside of youth group and synagogue, Olivia enjoys doing gymnastics, playing trumpet, and baking. She is excited for the school year to start because then she gets to play in the pep band during football games. Olivia is excited for Peer Ambassadors and cannot wait to meet lots of other Jewish teens and host fun events!

Olivia Shor

Olivia is a current junior at Adlai. E Stevenson High School, where she is on Patriettes, her school’s poms team. She enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family. She began to discover her Jewish identity when she went on the New Orleans relief mission with NCSY, and further on her month-long trip to Israel this past summer. She is looking forward to her first year being a Peer Ambassador and is excited to help others learn about their own Jewish identities.

Peyton Coslow

Peyton is a current senior at Lincoln Park High School where she is a member of the JCC Jewish Student Connection and Students for Change clubs. She loves reading, baking, and spending time with friends. She began to connect with her Jewish identity when she started spending her summers at JCC Camp Chi in 2014. Peyton has been an active member in the Chi community since then and has returned to camp every summer. She is excited for her first year as a Peer Ambassador and is excited to help others discover more about their Jewish identities and programs they can be involved in.

Rachel Smiley

Rachel is a current senior at Highland Park High School, where she plays on the varsity field hockey team and is a member of Key Club and Red Cross Club. She enjoys baking and spending time with her friends. She enjoys volunteering with her synagogue and is looking forward to helping other Jewish teens find their Jewish identities as a Peer Ambassador.

Sarah Besser

Sarah is a current junior at Vernon Hills High School (VHHS). She is a member of her junior class student council and on the executive board of VHHS Best Buddies club. Sarah loves all things art and is heavily involved in the Chicagoland Jewish community. She has attended EFA Apachi day camp as well as JCC Camp Chi, where she just became a 7-year camper. Sarah has participated in JNF and JUF fellowships, Sababa and Voices, where she fundraised for both Chicago and Israel organizations. Sarah is also the president of her BBYO chapter, Ahavah. She been an active member since 8th grade and helps plan programs for her chapter as well as the region. Sarah also works as a madricha on Sunday mornings helping in the religious school classes at NSS Beth El. She is also an active member of the IHMEC Teen Board. Sarah is super excited to help get others involved because she knows how big of an impact Judaism in Chicago has had on her.

Simone Redensky

Simone is a current senior at Jones College Prep, where she plays on the varsity lacrosse team. She enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her friends. She began to discover her Jewish identity when she attended JCC Camp Chi and has since become more involved with Jewish organizations and programs. She is so excited for her second year as a Peer Ambassador and is looking forward to helping others learn about their own Jewish identities.

Zack Deutsch

Zack is a current sophomore at Deerfield High School. He plays violin in his school orchestra and enjoys playing basketball. Zack began to get involved with Jewish programs in 8th grade when he started to attend USY programs. After this, he joined BBYO and worked as a madrich at Anshe Emet Synagogue. Zack attends Camp Chi every summer during the second session. He is excited to start working with Springboard as a Peer Ambassador and ready to learn how to become a leader in his community.

Zalman Kramer

Zalman is a freshman at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School. He enjoys reading, playing sports, and video games. He attends Moriah Congregation and Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. He is looking forward to being a Peer Ambassador.

Ellie Stein

Ellie Stein is a current sophomore at Lincoln Park High School. When Ellie is not at school, she is usually hanging out with my friends, drawing, or swimming. For the past 6 summers she has attended Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, where she has learned about how important it is to be involved in Jewish community and organizations. Ellie is hoping that as a Peer Ambassador she can help others find a Jewish community that is fitting to them.
