Our Teen Engagement Specialists are here to help you navigate the vibrant landscape of programs available for Chicagoland teens. We'd love to meet with teens and parents to explain what programs and organizations are out there and to work with you to find your best fit.
Brittany is proud of the diverse Jewish opportunities available in the Chicago area and would love to help you find a great fit! Growing up in Highland Park, Brittany was lucky to be able to participate in a number of Jewish communal programs. As a teen Brittany took on leadership roles in USY and was a counselor at JCC Camp Chi. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career in Jewish education and programming.
Brittany earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Sport and Tourism from the University of Illinois. At U of I, she was very active in Hillel and served as president her senior year. After graduation Brittany continued her studies at Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Eilat, Israel. Currently, she is completing her Master’s degree in Jewish Professional Studies at Spertus. In addition to her work with Springboard, Brittany staffs a number of local Jewish programs including, Ta’am Yisrael, USY, JSC at New Trier and Whitney Young High Schools and is the Rosh Hodesh leader at NSS Beth El.
Sam is thrilled to be a Springboard Teen Engagement Specialist! As a teen Sam was highly involved with BBYO, serving in various chapter and regional board positions. It was during his time in BBYO that he discovered his passion for leadership, programming and Jewish engagement. Originally from Deerfield, IL, Sam is ecstatic to be back in Chicago after serving two years in the Israel Defense Forces where he served in a combat infantry role in the Nahal Infantry Brigade and was, deployed multiple times to some of Israel’s most hostile borders. Prior to serving in the IDF, Sam attended Elon University where he majored in History and Secondary Education. While in college, he started the school’s first Jewish fraternity, as well as the first on-campus pro-Israel organization. Sam’s goal is to connect with Jewish teens across the Chicagoland area, to support Jewish teen leaders by using his experience as a Jewish teen in Chicago to assist other teens to their right fit in the Chicago Jewish landscape.
