Sam Grobart

Teen Engagement Specialist

Sam is thrilled to be a Springboard Teen Engagement Specialist! As a teen Sam was highly involved with BBYO, serving in various chapter and regional board positions. It was during his time in BBYO that he discovered his passion for leadership, programming and Jewish engagement. Originally from Deerfield, IL, Sam is ecstatic to be back in Chicago after serving two years in the Israel Defense Forces where he served in a combat infantry role in the Nahal Infantry Brigade and was, deployed multiple times to some of Israel’s most hostile borders. Prior to serving in the IDF, Sam attended Elon University where he majored in History and Secondary Education. While in college, he started the school’s first Jewish fraternity, as well as the first on-campus pro-Israel organization. Sam’s goal is to connect with Jewish teens across the Chicagoland area, to support Jewish teen leaders by using his experience as a Jewish teen in Chicago to assist other teens to their right fit in the Chicago Jewish landscape.
