Maya Modlin is a junior at Deerfield High School and member of BJBE congregation in Northbrook. Maya loves her positions as the Executive Vice President and Outreach Vice President of Chicago USY, International Teen Leadership Council member, and NSS Beth El BEANS board member. She also volunteers at Gidwitz, a Jewish senior center. She is a passionate musician and is a member of the Chamber, Symphonic, and pit orchestras, where she is the Orchestra Vice President. She is going on tour in Europe to perform with her orchestras in March. She is a member of the Deerfield High School Track & Field team, Israel Club, Medical Careers Club, and Book Club where she is the board coordinator. In her free time, she likes to paint, listen to music, and read a good book.
