Volunteering Opportunities

The following are some of the volunteering opportunities available in Kiryat Gat, Lachish and Shafir.  In addition to what is listed below we can create a boutique volunteer experience based on your interests and skill level.  Sign up online or contact Partnership Together for more information.

Commitment: Minimum 2 weeks, 8 hour workday
Angliyada Adult Chicagoans teach English to Israeli adults. Minimum 2 weeks
6-8 hours per day (Sunday – Thursday)
Needed: Patience, and flexibility
Knowledge of Hebrew and teaching experience advisable but not essential
Computer assistance (ADVANCED) Helping set up computer programs or teaching more advanced skills.
Assisting children or adults become computer friendly
Advanced computer skills
Knowledge of Hebrew essential
Minimum 1 week
Elderly Serve light refreshments

Help with handicraft workshops (pottery, embroidery, etc.)
Volunteers need patience, flexibility
Knowledge of at least one of the following languages essential: Hebrew, Yiddish, or Russian

Israeli Junior camp counselors assigned to assist Chicago volunteers

* At least 1 year of college
* Prior experience in camp counseling NO HEBREW NECESSARY
Minimum 5 weeks, including 1 or 2 meetings in Chicago and workshops in Israel prior to camp
Kindergarten Extra pair of hands and eyes to assist with pre-schoolers Minimum 1 week
