If you are a high school sophomore who cares passionately about Israel and wants to learn more about its history, present-day reality and how to make the case for Israel on college campuses and beyond, then Write On for Israel is for you.

Write On for Israel is a selective, diverse program that includes students from many schools across the Chicagoland area. Before you apply, you must be ready to make Write On your number one priority after academics, and you must be ready to read, write, listen, think, debate, wrestle and apply yourself throughout the two-year program. 

Attendance at the seven Junior Seminars is mandatory. In 2011-2012, seminars will be held on the following Sundays*: 

  • November 20, 2011
  • December 4, 2011
  • January 22, 2012
  • February 5, 2012
  • March 18, 2012
  • April 29, 2012
  • May 20, 2012

Additionally, Fellows and a parent must attend an Orientation session that will be held on one of the following two evenings (You will be notified of the date upon acceptance to the program):

  • Tuesday, October 25, 2011
  • Wednesday, October 26, 2011

An Israel Trip Orientation will be held at the end of the March 18, 2012, seminar, and each Fellow will attend with at least one parent.

Be sure to ask your school to send your high school transcript to the same address, and give the people you select to provide references plenty of time to complete the form and mail it to us.

After we have reviewed your application, if you advance to the next stage of the admissions process we will contact you to schedule a personal interview.
