ReelAbilities Film Festival: Do You Dream in Color?
June 28, 2026 • Sunday, 2:00 pm - Sunday, 4:00 pm
This film features Connor, Nick, Sarah and Carina, teenagers navigating the growing pains of high school. But unlike their peers, these four teens face another challenge—they’re blind. This coming-of-age story captures the journeys of four teenagers as they strive to achieve their goals: to be a sponsored skateboarder, to travel the world, to become a rock star, and to be the first family member to graduate high school. Their stories illuminate both the social and institutional obstacles faced by people who are blind in the sighted world and what it takes to overcome these barriers. Accompanying the film will be a conversation with a diverse panel of individuals living with disabilities, led by Keshet’s board chair Michelle Friedman.
This is the final film of the ReelAbilities Film Festival, which spotlights films with disabled and neurodivergent individuals as protagonists, role models, artists, and producers. Presented by Hecktman JCCs of Chicago.
